The Birthday Boy

Matthew is 5 today! Matthew is also sick today.....

He's been sick since Friday a.m., when he woke up at 3 vomiting with high fever. He did that for about 48 hours, and now its turned into a respiratory virus. I spoke with the doc's office Saturday morning, and he's going in this morning to get his ears looked at and his lungs listened to. He ran fever all weekend, and hit 103.something this morning. Greg is home with him, as I have a contested hearing today that I can't let anyone else cover. Did I mention Greg has no immune system?

We had to cancel his birthday party Saturday, and he wanted Chinese food tonight, but that looks terribly unlikely. I also cancelled the cupcakes for school today.

Eric, after (almost) scoring a hat trick yesterday, also feels like crap. He went on to school because if he has perfect attendance, he gets to opt out of finals. Nothing like encouraging sick kids to come to school.

Will keep everyone posted. My life sucks.

Update 1:00 p.m.: Matthew has Strep. Oh, and Greg has had a sore throat for 3 days.
