Normal?

OK, finally got my tree down. It still in the box in the living room, but its down and all the other X-mas decorations are down. Also did about 37 loads of laundry. I think my life MAY be getting back to normal, whatever that is.

Eric had two hockey games this weekend against Jefferson City (at home). The first game was a wild one, where they were evenly matched. Eric scored the first goal of the game, and they got up 3 - 0 until near the end of the third when the wheels came off and we ended regulation tied 3 - 3. They went to a shootout. Each team starts with 5 shooters, going alternately. We were tied after the first 5 shooters. They they go 1 to 1, sudden death. After a total of 8 shooters for each team, we finally won. It was a hard-hitting, chippy game, where the refs never really took control. Lots of fighting penalties, and a few unsportsmanlike conducts. Then, we're waiting for Eric to come out after changing, and a teammate comes up to me and says, "Eric says just to go home. He sliced his foot open" (!). Needless to say, I didn't. Greg took Matthew home & I had to go back to the stinky, icky locker room. Eric is bleeding like a stuck pig from his big toe. Turns out he dropped his skate onto his bare toe, and basically took a "divot" off of the tip. One of the other moms is a doctor, and confirmed that there was nothing there to stitch, so at least we didn't have to go to the hospital. He played Sunday in an ugly, ugly loss, but did OK.

I guess this is normal for me.

But, we actually had a healthy, home-cooked dinner last night that wasn't on a bun, and didn't come wrapped in paper through the car door window, so we're making progress!!

Normal is a relative term you know...

Does this mean that ERic's 'on pointe' sdancing days are over?
