Andy Jr. Update

Well Andy lived thru 3 days in Hong Kong.... Sounds like he had fun! Below is his e-mail after getting back on ship, and yes he did go to top of Victoria Mt.:

Hey Father,
So I believe I am a proud owner of a Breitling Watch..
I went to the ladies Market in Kowloon.. Its a market where you bargain like I told you about. Yesterday I went there with my buddies and we went buck wild, American Buck Wild because thats what I saved. I bought two watches that are chinese versions of G-SHOCK watches.. very nice, I paid 200 HongKongDollar for 2 (25 USD). I just wanted a watch for work and or outside play since my work watch broke when I was home last. Also I bought a sport coat 200 hkd very nice.. a tie, hankerchief, cuff links set for cheap maybe 50 HKD
But most importantly.. I went to a shop thing in the market and was looking at watches.. and said no thank you to cheap.. she pulled out a bag under some things kind of hidden away.. In it was a Breitling Watch brand new.. and also a Rolex.. I didnt really like the Rolex but i liked the Breitling I bargained from 380 to 200 I walked away and she finally said yes. So.. Im pretty sure its authentic, probably stolen or black market but im ok with it.. I was looking at price ranges for the watches and its anywhere from 2,000USD to 6,000USD so I think sometime Im going to have it appraised to see if its real.. If it is I think im going to sell it.. I figure if I had 2,000-6000 dollars I wouldnt buy a watch that expensive so why not sell it and get that money.. But its really nice! Anywho I also got an Ipod Nano 2GB for 200 HKD my buddy paid 240 for his.. I also walked and she said ok.. really quietly.. the 2GB ipod's without a screen run around 533 HKD at least thats what I saw them for in stores. These arent Chinese Knock offs also. Very nice atleast I have something to listen to when Im working out.. or something. In Hong Kong everyone is either on a Cell Phone or listening to an Ipod. it was crazy! I should have some pictures to send you of when I was dressed fresh to death from my head to my tippy toes (dressed well) We had alot of fun and Im hung over today from being tired, sick and getting wasted last night! BUT i didnt puke on the little ass 45 min. boat ride back to the ship.. so thats good. But Hey I love you guys! I bought something for mom.. I bought an oil painting.. I really wanted to buy a set of chinese chopsticks( probably made in korea) haha BUT i didnt.. I tried that thing where I bargain for something I didnt really want.. I tried to get a real nice backpack for 100 HK she went to 200 started at 450 so I didnt get it.. I might have if i could have got it for 100 But i have alot of ports left I think Ive hear 7 more in 4.5 months.. so WOOT WOOT! hopefully I dont spend as much as I did in Hong Kong..this next port is going to be more relaxing less spending. Im going to save the spending for Thailand! hooty whoo tell Becky I say whats it do and I say Hi I dotn have her number since my phone is broken so I cant call her.. also send me Grandmas(Diane and Beverly)'s Numbers so I can call them. Alrighty I love you guys Talk to you soon.
HOOOOKAY!!!!
WATS OF WUV
JR

We told him we wuv him wong time! I'm just glad he didn't tell me I had a new Daughter in law named Woosey! I havn't had the heart to tell him that the watch he paid $25 probably isn't a $6000 Britling. ........
He's making this Tour of Duty sound more like a Princess Cruise....
Once again the addwess we wewe told to send him stuff was wong. Hewe is the new cowwect addwess. I sure am happy this isn't an Erection year........ Lynn is a little P.O'd about that but that belongs in a different Blog......

I knew he'd love Hong Kong! Glad he had a good time and didn't throw up. Yup! bargaining is the only way to go. I did get a Polo knock off nice suitcase for $4.00.
You're right about the watch though....

Tell him "Hey!" from us.

Never heard of this watch. Is it like a Rolex? I'm so sheltered.

Yea, Breitling is like a Rolex and could easily wind up at a street market in Kowloon (across the bay from HK) if you bought in Chicago and wore it to Kowloon.
I'm sure he had blast though, I really loved HK. It's like New York, but with better looking women and more people that speak English....ms
