Sooo..... sometimes Lynn and I get to go upnort for a long weekend. We did just that this last weekend. Went up Friday after work and came home Tues. afternoon. Did some fishing in between all the rain. Those are White Bass, Walleyes, Crappies, Catfish and perch. Walleye size/slot limit is 15"-20" and one over 28". Had to throw back that 22 incher, what a shame... Cool thing about the WI River is that the Walleyes bite during the day. We don't seem to be able to get on the water much before 9 or 10 am. Bad weather on Sunday kept us off the water so.....
I have this friend who is a Vietnam Vet. He had a few mild strokes a few years ago. Today he is living at Wisconsin Veterans Home in "King WI". It's near Waupaca and about 30 miles from Big Oaks. Went to visit him. He is doing well. It's a 78 acre facility on the Chain of lakes. It's BEAUTIFUL. It's a Wi. Historical site and I reccomend checking it out if you are ever in the area, it's free... Park like setting with some interesting history. http://dva.state.wi.us/Homes_King.asp
It's been a long time since I've been able to catch fish consistantly. reminds me of the old days (Dad).
Oh Yeah, the proverbial food pic. That bowl is the filets......... Probably 5 or 6 pounds......

I'm jealous. Looks like a lot of fun. I really miss going "up nort."
